KLANGARCHIV is a German-based online archive and creative production area of high-quality, royaltyfree compositions commercially used in advertising spots, feature films and telecommunications.

Copyright collecting societies are caring about the collection of copyright fees on behalf of their members - composers and songwriters. These fees have to be paid for every single music performance and the production of sound carriers as well. Regularly composers, songwriters and publishers are organized in various collecting societies buliding a worldwide network. The complexity of this system makes it vulnerable to mistakes which can be a disadvantage. Therefore in many cases it makes more sense to licence music recordings in close contact with the musicians without going the long way round the collecting societies.
As our composers and authors are no members of collecting societies, we do create a win-win situation for both: the composers and the users of our music as well.
